A Monroe County man was jailed this week on charges of terroristic threats and gun possession.

State police at Fern Ridge said Nino Ianuale, 24, of Effort, was arrested about 7 p.m. at 158 Sorrel St., Sun Valley development, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Ianuale was arrested following an assault incident. While being arrested Ianuale was found to have in his possession a loaded handgun.He was charged with illegal firearms possession, terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering, and harassment.He was placed in Monroe County Correctional Facility, on an outstanding warrant issued to the sheriff's department.He was later arraigned on the new charges and returned to the prison after failing to post $50,000 bail on those counts.
