One member of an Upper Macungie Township, Lehigh County, family has been arrested and charged with assault over a dispute among family members over frozen chicken strips.

Township police said at 5:57 p.m. Monday they were dispatched to 5919 Derick Drive in Orefield, for a domestic disturbance between family members. As a result of an investigation, police said they learned that Zachary Suppan, 18, assaulted his brother, Joshua Suppan., 20, and his mother, Maureen Suppan, 43, all of that address, over frozen chicken strips.Zachary was charged with simple assault (domestic violence related), harassment, and defiant trespass.
