DUI arrests in Monroe

State police at Lehighton reported on the following driving under the influence arrests.

On May 23 at 10:54 a.m. troopers stopped Patrick Henry Mulligan, 21, of Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, along Route 33 northbound at the Snydersville Exit, in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation.Mulligan was taken to the barracks for suspicion of DUI and then for a blood test. He is suspected of DUI of a controlled substance.At the same stop Mulligan's passenger, Daniel Mulligan, 19, of Easton, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the barracks and charged with drug counts.On Friday at 2:20 a.m. troopers came upon a running vehicle blocking the northbound side of Doney Road near Weir Lake Road, in Polk Township.The driver was identified as Dwain Miller, 61, of Saylorsburg. He told troopers he was on his way home from a bar and stopped to make a phone call. He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests.He was then transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending, troopers added.
