One man was flown to a Lehigh Valley area hospital and a second man was arrested in a shooting incident that occurred Thursday afternoon in Monroe County.

The incident occurred about 3:10 p.m. along Sycamore Drive in Eldred Township.

According to reports, the two men argued while in a vehicle parked near a two-story home with one shooting the other.

A 22-year-old male was flown to St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, while a 20-year-old male was arrested and charged with the shooting. The 20-year-old was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville.

State police at Lehighton are investigating and did not release the name of the victim or shooter.

Contacted this morning, troopers said a press report concerning the incident would be released later today.
