No one injured in interstate crash

No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 5:58 p.m. May 14 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said the accident happened when a 2011 Peterbilt 388 operated by Nicholas A. DePalma, 31, of Albrightsville, traveling east on the interstate, entered the right lane of travel and struck the left rear driver's side bumper of a 2013 Hyundai Elantra operated by Donna M. Walker, 47, of Shavertown.Police said the force of the initial impact caused the Elantra to run in front of DePalma's vehicle, which then struck the driver's side and pushed the Elantra to its final resting point. The latter vehicle required towing from the scene.Police said DePalma will be cited.
