The Marian boys track team claimed the Schuylkill League Division II title by defeating Schuylkill Haven, while the Pleasant Valley boys earned a share of the Mountain Valley Conference championships by edging Stroudsburg.

TRACK AND FIELDStroudsburg-Pleasant Vy.Trailing 74-71 entering the final event of yesterday's pivotal Mountain Valley Conference track meet, the Pleasant Valley boys picked up five points by winning the 1600-meter relay in 3:29.7 to defeat Stroudsburg by a final score of 76-74.The Bears' come-from-behind victory forced a tie with the Mountaineers for the MVC regular season championship. The two-point victory over the Mountaineers gives Pleasant Valley a share of the conference title for the first time since 1996.Pleasant Valley won 10 of 18 events, including all three relays.
