Palmerton's softball team picked up a win, while its track team had a pretty good day at the Zephyr Relays over the weekend.

Nate Silfies took first in the discus with a throw of 123-2, while teammate Charles Debski was close behind in second (121-6). Tre Nelson edged out the competition in the shot put with a heave of 42-2, as well.Austin Shupp (triple jump), Darris Rodrigues (pole vault), Gerald Pereira (javelin), and Spencer Hay (high jump) all managed second place finishes on the day.The 4x100 (Gerald Pereira, Mike Stasko, Austin Shupp and Harley Appelbaum - 46.16) and 4x400 relay (Shupp, Pereira, Dominic Shivone, Nate Eckhart - 3:37.76) teams both took first in the meet, as well, to round out the boys' competition.In the girls' side, the 800 Sprint Medley Relay took first on the day, while Sabreena Strauch's javelin toss of 109-2 was good enough for second place.
