Virtually all schools have concerts and plays.
Harmony Scholars, which will be held at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Panther Valley High School auditorium is different.Advisor and director Kathy Crampsie describes it as a "parody of songs." There are 20 numbers ranging from Broadway to "Saturday Night Live." All have lip-syncing.For each selection, students do the lip-syncing to skits, wearing outlandish outfits.In some, boys dress as girls, wearing short dresses and wigs. It's all about fun."This was started in 1992," said Crampsie, who has been involved for over 20 years.Sharing the duties of director is Patty Vito.The cast includes:Jess Bauder, Kylie Catena, Darrian DeMatto, Jordan Devitt, Katie Kabana, Kayla Kashlak.Rylie Krapf, Richelle Van Horn, Jerdil Castilo, Pat Iezzoni, Austin Karnish, Jake Kusko, Richard Nase.Zach Stromelo, Mark Williams, Tyler Devonshire, Alyssa Bartelt, Michelae Negron, Tayler Nalesnik, Kayla Reese.Samantha Schuch, Claudia Smith, Abby Yusella, Hunter Davidyock, Colin Johnson, Zach Gilbert, Huntre Keip, Jordan Reis, and Sam Stanko.Selections include "What Does the Fox Say," "Bonnie and Clyde," "Lawrence Welk," "The Full Monty," "Girls Run the World," "The Village People," and "The Magic Kingdom."Serving as master of ceremonies are Kerry Uher and Mark "Paco" Shanton.Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
