The public is invited to an evening of prayer, song and silence at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at All Saints Church, 21 N. Cleveland St. in McAdoo, in the spirit of a Taize Prayer Service.

The Taize community developed a unique style of singing prayer with short, simple melodies and short, classic phrases repeated over and over. The repetition of one verse, often taken from the Bible, allows one to absorb the message deeply. The song becomes kind of a singing meditation, helping one to become aware of the loving presence of God within.Participants will be asked to join in singing the short songs from the program.The service will include times of silence, sometimes lasting 5-10 minutes.
