The Summit Hill Recreation Commission would like to see a skateboard park built in the community.
The president of the commission, Jodi McAndrew, told the borough council last night constructing a park has been discussed at commission meetings. It could be built next to the basketball courts across from the borough hall on West Amidon Street or in a corner of Ginder Field.McAndrew said no formal plans are drawn up for the park, but the commission is hoping there is grant money available for such a project. The borough council said it will check with its insurance carrier to see if special coverage would be needed.
