HappeningsHoly Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, will hold Wednesday Evening Lenten soup and sandwich, and worship on March 12, 19, 26, and April 2, 9. Supper will be from 6-7 p.m., followed by worship from 7-7:30 p.m.Worship with Holy Communion will be held Sunday, March 16, with services at 8 and 10:45 a.m.The LWR quilters have been hard at work, but are in need of sheets. If you have sheets to donate, please bring them to the church and label them "LWR." Flat, double bed size works the best, but singles will also do.Anyone who is interested in helping with the quilts should call Diane at 610-826-7977 for information. The group is always looking for new people who like to sew, cut, or tie.A council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.Quilt GuildThe Sew What Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Palmerton Area Library.New members and visitors are always welcome. Call the library at 610-826-3424 for more information.PhotographicBlack Light WorkshopSaturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Palmerton Camera Club will host a Photographic Black Light Workshop by Florence Robin at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton.The event is free to PCC members, and $10 for non-members. The admission fee entitles the attendee to a half-year membership to our club.The workshop will begin with a 45-minute presentation on how to shoot with black light, followed by the workshop with multiple black light setups to be photographed by the attendees.Some exposures may be as long as 30 seconds. Therefore, a tripod and a cable release (or self-timer) are required. A small flashlight for moving around the darkened room will be helpful.
