A vehicle stop in Lehigh County led to the discovery of a large quantity of untaxed cigarettes.

State police at Fogelsville said Mohammed Nashiri, 40, of New York, N.Y., was stopped about 1:24 a.m. on Feb. 24 along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township, for a vehicle code violation.At the stop Nashiri displayed indicators of criminal activity, troopers said. A consent search was conducted of the vehicle and found was 938 cartons of untaxed cigarettes, totaling 187,600 cigarettes, troopers said.
