The 17th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Jim Thorpe on Sunday took three hours to pass, giving spectators music, humor, historical themes, and even vocal selections.
Parade officials said the parade went without any problems, even though there had been concerns about snow piles on some curbing along West Broadway.
The spectators were dressed in celebratory attire, wearing an array of green hats, ties, beads, stockings, shirts, and hair.
Mayor Michael Sofranko said he was pleased with the event, stating everything went as planned.
Parade committee member Ronald Sheehan said he’s looking forward to at least 17 more years of the parade.
