A Monroe County driver, who was found asleep behind the wheel of her car in a driveway in Jackson Township, is facing charges, including driving under the influence. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred about 4:32 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4, at 339 Possinger Road.
Troopers responded to that address for a report of an unknown vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence, made by the homeowner. On scene troopers found Rhea A. Samuels, 23, of Effort, asleep behind the wheel with the keys in the ignition and the engine running.Further investigation revealed Samuels was intoxicated. Troopers said as a result of the incident she is facing charges of DUI, attempted escape, resisting arrest, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, and trespass by motor vehicle.
