An estimated six to seven inches of snow fell throughout the area over the weekend, transforming it into a Winter Wonderland.

The flakes started falling at 1 a.m. Sunday, dispelling any notion King Winter was preparing to make an early exodus after one of the most severe cold seasons on record.
