Two motorists were cited recently following traffic stops in Rush Township after officers received the results of toxicology tests.

Maria Whah, 33, of Mahanoy City, was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) and traffic violations after she was stopped on Delano Road. Tests done at Schuylkill Medical Center- South Jackson Street, Pottsville, indicate she had marijuana in her system.Daniel R. Murphy, 25, of Montgomery, was also charged with DUI and traffic violations. He was stopped on Claremont Avenue. Blood tests results from Schuylkill Medical Center indicate he had a blood-alcohol content of .15 percent, almost double the legal limit of .08 percent.
