The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for snow and freezing rain, in effect until 3 p.m. today.

Light snow has been falling over the region since 4 a.m. No road problems have been reported.Snow accumulations of 1 inch are expected. Hazardous conditions could develop later this morning and persist into early this afternoon.Temperatures should reach 36 and then precipation will turn over to all rain.Heavy rain is expected Saturday.
