Rush Township police have charged Jennifer Hess, 36, of Lansford, after receiving the results of blood tests taken after an incident on Nov. 18.

Hess was stopped on the Hauto Highway at 7:03 a.m. that day. Officers suspected she was under the influence and took her to St. Luke's Miners Hospital, Coaldale, for blood work.The tests showed she had heroin in her system.Hess was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and traffic violations.
