State police at Frackville reported investigating three crashes along Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County, two of which were weather-related.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 9:10 a.m. in Frailey Township. Harold C. Perez-Sueiro, 28, of Carlisle, Cumberland County, was driving a 2001 Volkswagen Pasatt southbound at a speed greater than allowed to keep control while rounding a downhill curve during a snow storm, troopers said. The car left the road and struck a guide rail.Perez-Sueiro was not injured but the car had to be towed from the scene. He was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.Another one-vehicle crash was reported at 11 a.m. in Kline Township. Troopers said Marilyn Williams, 33, of Appalachin, N.Y., was southbound driving a 2000 Toyota Echo when it left the road and struck a rock embankment on the east side. After striking the embankment the Toyota continued south about 75 feet then came to rest.Williams sustained a minor injury and was taken to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, by Ryan Township ambulance. She was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.A two-vehicle crash was reported at 8:02 p.m. in Ryan Township. Troopers said the crash occurred during a wintry mix of weather and extreme fog in the area.Martha R. Thompson, 18, of Lothian, Md., driving a 1997 Dodge Stratus, and Mark W. Rogers, 40, of Mebane, N.C., driving a 2012 Chevrolet Suburban, were both southbound. Thompson was in the left lane having just passed Rogers. Thompson lost control of her vehicle when the driver's side tires went off on the left shoulder, where slush had accumulated.The Dodge spun clockwise to the right and struck the front of the Chevrolet. Both vehicles came to rest on the right shoulder.Thompson sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville, by Ryan Township ambulance.Rogers and his three family member passengers, were not injured.Troopers cited Thompson for driving too fast for conditions.
