This Pontiac Grand Prix, operated by Anna Rehrig, 41, of Palmerton, was traveling at a high rate of speed east on Lafayette Avenue at around 11:29 a.m. Friday when it lost control and went off the roadway, sideswiping one tree, and continuing east where it sideswiped more trees, climbed a bank, and sheered off the telephone pole. The driver, who complained of head pain and dizziness, was transported to Palmerton Hospital. Also assisting at the scene was the Palmerton Police Department.
