Healthy donation for Healthy Smiles program

The Mauch Chunk Trust Company on Friday donated $2,500 to Blue Mountain Health System's Healthy Smiles, Happy Kids mobile dental provider. The dental van provides preventive and restorative care to under and uninsured children in Carbon and Schuylkill counties.

The van is staffed by a board certified dentist, a hygienist and a dental assistant/driver, and has become the "dental home" for more than 2,000 children since it rolled out seven years ago.Mauch Chunk Trust Company President/CEO Patrick H. Reilly said the bank was happy to help the community by supporting the much-needed service.Mauch Chunk Trust Company, begun in 1903, is based in Jim Thorpe, and has branches in Tamaqua, Lehighton, Nesquehoning and Albrightsville.
