Area residents among 85 arraigned on criminal counts

Numerous area residents, including five from McAdoo, were among 85 who were arraigned on criminal charges before District Attorney Karen Byrnes in the Schuylkill County courthouse Monday morning and all pleaded not guilty and requested jury trials. They were:

Jeremy Michael Shafer, 19, of 21 S. Kennedy Drive, At. B, McAdoo, charged by McAdoo Patrolman Anthony Divirgilio, with 17 counts of theft from motor vehicles, 15 counts of receiving stolen property,12 counts of theft of moveable property, and one count each of criminal conspiracy and loitering at night.Victor Barry Craig, 36, of107 S.
