State police at Frackville are investigating an attempted retail theft incident at a Schuylkill County store.
Troopers said a white male entered the Sears store in the Schuylkill Mall, New Castle Township, about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 13. He was observed by store security removing several power tools from store shelves and stashing them in a remote aisle before leaving.A second suspect, a hispanic male, then entered the store with a Sears shopping bag and placed the tools into the bag and attempted to leave the store.When confronted by store security, he dropped the stolen tools and fled. He ran to a vehicle outside where the first male that entered the store was waiting and both then fled the scene. The value of the tools was set at $320.The first suspect was described as being about 20-30 years of age, five-feet, six inches tall, weighing about 185 pounds with blonde/balding hair and a goatee. The second suspect was about 20-30 years of age, six-feet, two-inches tall with brown curly hair.Troopers said information concerning the two suspects is being investigated with charges anticipated.
