Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 307 Coal St., Lehighton, will hold its annual Community Block Party on Friday, July 19; Saturday, July 20; and Sunday, July 21. There will be food, fun, games and more. Friday hours are 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturday, noon to 10 p.m.; and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

Friday's entertainment is Boomerang at 7 p.m.; Saturday, ADD, at 7 p.m.Saturday features a Soap Box Derby race at noon, with two age categories, 9 to 11 and 12 to 14. For rules and regulations, call Troy Ahner at (570) 527-1627 and on Saturday there will be a golf ball downhill race at 3 p.m.Saturday also features the Lehighton Idol Contest from 5 to 6 p.m. There will be two age groups, 17 and under and over 18. Prizes will be awarded in three categories, voice, stage presense and costume.
