Schuylkill County District Attorney Karen Byrnes-Noon, right, presents a check for $500 to Leona Rega, coordinator, Tamaqua Safety Initiative (TSI). Byrnes-Noon stated the donation came from their office's regular forfeiter fund, created to help reduce crime in neighborhoods and communities. The TSI comprised of a number Tamaqua residents and business owners, property owners, community organizations, police department, crime watch volunteers, borough council members, code enforcement, fire department, Chamber of Commerce and health professionals.
