A Carbon County resident is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) of a controlled substance.

State police at Lehighton said Gregory Andrew Macalush, 21, of Summit Hill, was stopped about 7:44 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at the intersection of state routes 248 and 209 in Franklin Township for a traffic violation.He was found to be under the infuence and transported to the Lehighton hospital where he submitted to a blood test.Charges will be filed.
