Eight finalists of the first annual Greater Carbon County Junior Miss Pageant, sponsored by the Weatherly Area Jaycees, have been announced.

Competing in the October 12 pageant will be Carolyn Kuchera, Cindy Petrole and Beth McConnell of Marian High School; Alice Carter of Palmerton; Carol Ann Stickler of Tamaqua; and Jill Faust, Jill Redash and Melody Watson of Weatherly.
