July 1, 1971 Charlie Hansler scatters seven hits and strikes out 10 batters as Lehighton gains a 4-1 Lehigh Valley Legion win over Downtown Youth Center (DYC). Hansler is also a part of Lehighton's pivotal four-run fourth inning by drawing a bases-loaded walk and scoring when Barry Reed is hit by a pitch. The winners, coached by Tom Conarty, also receive RBI singles from Danny Kunkle and Billy Kunkle.
