A Berks County driver is facing charges following a crash that occurred about 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Trevis L. Stoudt, 42, of Fleetwood, was driving a 2001 Dodge Caravan northbound through a construction zone where the northbound southbound lanes were separate by temporary concrete barriers. As he drove north he was talking on his cellular phone and became distracted.The left front of the caravan struck the barrier causing the driver's side front tire to go flat. Stoudt continued north for a short distance and pulled off onto a dirt road where a construction trailer was parked.Stoudt parked the caravan and fled the scene on foot. He was located almost two hours later along SR61 by Orwigsburg police. The caravan was towed from the scene.Troopers said Stoudt is facing charges due to the incident.
