June 14, 1968 Bob Polinsky fires a no-hitter against Shenandoah to lead Tamaqua to a 6-0 victory in South Schuylkill American Legion play. Polinsky doesn't walk a batter and finishes with 12 strikeouts. Only three runners reach base against the hurler, one on an error and two by hit batsmen. Ron Bednarz collects two hits, one a double, and scores a run for the winners. Jim Kotzmoyer also adds a pair of hits while Dan Truskey chips in with a hit and run scored.
