Thirty-eight Lansford stores initiated the Wednesday half holiday today and throughout the summer.

These mercantile institutions will close at noon every Wednesday during the months of June, July and August.Merchants have long appreciated that the Wednesday closing was in line with the progressive policy of recognizing the rights of employees to a little recreation in the middle of the week.
