May 7, 1998 The Palmerton boys claim a team title while Northwestern's Tiffany Cougle captures four gold medals at the annual Colonial League meet. The Blue Bombers receive a pair of firsts from Jeff Dobias (1600, 3200) while Matt Hager wins one event (javelin) and takes second in two others. Teammate Matt Spirk adds a gold in the pole vault. Cougle betters the competition in the 100, 200 and 400 and also competes on the winning 1600 relay team. The Tigers' Alan Czysz (400, 800) and Daryal Hall (100, 200) both win two events.
