A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 5:17 p.m. on Sunday, March 24.

State police at Fern Ridge said they responded to 119 Ozark Lane, Effort, Chestnuthill Township, to a report of a person violating a protection from abuse (PFA) order.While responding troopers stopped a 1997 Dodge Ram truck based on information received concerning the PFA report.The driver was identified as Shannon M. Stone, 43, of Mount Pocono. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence (DUI).Stone was also involved in the initial PFA report. He violated a PFA order by having contact with a 47-year-old female at the Effort address listed above. He was cited for violating the order.
