About 60 of the 120 employees at the Carbon County Home for the Aged failed to report to work today in what has been termed a "massive sick call." Those not showing up for work included nurses, aides, and attendants at the home. Robert Sturtevant, administrator, said he called several area nursing groups and senior citizen clubs to assist in caring for patients at the home. Albert Koch, chairman of the Carbon County Board of Commissioners, said, "We do not know why this action was taken." One employee stated the reason was wages.
