Rachel Dickson, 12, proudly displays the 12 inches of hair she donated to Locks of Love. Her hairdresser, Tara Romeo of Michele's Family Hair Care, Palmerton, cuts Rachael's hair and encouraged her in her dream of donating it. Rachael, a sixth grader at S.S. Palmer Elementary School, heard about Locks of Love on television and through her fifth-grade teacher last year, Mrs. Ambrosiano, who frequently donates her hair to Locks of Love. Rachael wanted to do something nice for children who lose their hair due to illness. Rachael is the daughter of Melanie and Jeff Dickson of Palmerton.
