Thomas A. Zimmerman, chairman of the Carbon County Commissioners, has returned from Harrisburg where he conferred with state officials incident to the possible relocation of the Eastern Penetentiary at Philadelphia to some site in Carbon County. The Carbon County Institutution District Home site at Laurytown has been mentioned as a possible ideal location because of its many features. A site atop the Broad Mountain, between Hudsondale and Weatherly, has also been mentioned.
