Nine students from Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, were recently named Students of the Month for December for the 2012-2013 school year. They were selected because they exhibited the virtue of respect.
The following are quotes from each student.Kindergarten, Micah Lawson: "I have been working hard to listen to the teacher the first time and help my friends."Grade 1, Riley McArdle: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I use good manners and try to be polite to everyone. I listen to my teacher in class and treat my friends with respect."Grade 2, Riley Fenstermaker: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I am very patient and caring toward other people. I want to help when I know something and others do not."Grade 3, Edward Mullen: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I am very respectful toward my teacher and other students."Grade 4, Julia Jurick: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I was respectful to my teachers, elders, parents and friends."Grade 5, Colin Rehnert: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I try to be kind to everyone. I try to be fair while playing with friends. I do not brag."Grade 6, Antonina Zeleniak: "I was chosen as Student of the Month because I always respect my teachers, classmates and myself."Grade 7, Alexus Eschbach: "I was chosen for Student of the Month because I help my teacher, am nice to my classmates, and get my work done on time."Grade 8, Hanna Dowd: "I was chosen for Student of the Month because I try to be respectful to everyone, even when it is not easy."
