Daniel J. Sickonic, 23, of Lehighton, sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:55 a.m. Feb. 6 on Pine Run Road in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, according to state police at the Lehighton.

Police said he suffered injuries to the head and face and was transported by ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.Police said he was driving a 1993 Toyota pickup truck northbound and was traveling too fast for the ice-covered road conditions. The truck traveled across the southbound lane and off the roadway, where it struck a tree in front of a residence at 1135 Pine Run Road, coming to rest against the tree in a northern direction.Police said he will be cited as a result of the crash.The truck was towed from the scene.
