A Carbon County woman pleaded guilty in federal count in Scranton on Tuesday to drug conspiracy charges.
Bonnie J. Vosburgh, 22, of Nesquehoning, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine. She admitted being part of a conspiracy to distribute both crack and powder cocaine.The U.S. Attorney's Office alleged that Vosburgh was part of a conspiracy to distribute more than 28 grams of cocaine in and around Carbon County.It was alleged that she and her co-conspirasors set up and used drug storage and distribution facilities in the area.The U.S. Attorney's office said the federal Bureau Alcohol, Tobacoo, Firearms and Explosives, along with Lansford and Nesquehoning police, conducted the investigation that led to Vosburgh's arrest.Senior U.S. Judge Edwin M. Kosik accepted the plea but did not set a sentencing date. Under the terms of a plea agreement Vosburgh is to receive a prison sentence of five years, followed by four years of supervised release.
