A very large gathering of Lehighton people witnessed the unique spectacle of an airplane wedding in commemoration of the first airship to be built by the Jensen Aviation Corporation. "Sam" Hughes, a mechanic for the firm, was married to Jennie Fisher of Pottsville, with Rev. Wyatt officiating. The wedding took place in an Allentown cabin plane shortly after the new Jensen plane, piloted by Sandy Underwood, had been given its first test. Underwood thrilled the crowd with a score of breath-taking stunts. It required 20 minutes to perform the ceremony.
