Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, will hold First Saturday worship with Holy Communion at 5 p.m. Feb. 2, with the Rev. Michael Frost presiding.The fourth Sunday after Epiphany worship with Holy Communion will be observed at 9 a.m., Feb. 3 with the Rev. Donald Hayn, Interim pastor, presiding. The format for Holy Communion distribution on the first Saturday and Sunday will change to Intinction. This is the act of immersing the consecrated wafer in grape juice in order to enable the communicant to receive the two elements as one. It is the practice at Trinity to substitute grape juice for wine when intinction is used. Coffee house fellowship follows.Sunday School "Power Hour" begins at 10:30 for ages 3-through-adult.In the event of inclement weather, look for cancellations on TV 13 and WFMZ TV. All financial gifts will be given to "Dylan & Gavin's Rainbow" ministry. Established by the Krum family of Lehighton, this ministry has been established to offer support to families when a child faces a serious illness or condition, and also offers support in the event of a death of a child.
