Joseph Fittos Jr., chief of police in Summit Hill, said there have been reports of individuals soliciting door-to-door in the borough during the evening hours.

He said the solicitors claim to be representatives from an energy company.No such solicitors have registered at the Borough Hall, he said.Fittos cautioned residents not to leave anyone inside their residence. "Some people have allowed these solicitors to come into their homes," he said.He said anyone visited by these solicitors should call the police.The solicitations have been happening the past three or four days and the individuals have no identification with them, he said.
