The Penn Forest Township monthly Planning Commission meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 located at 1387 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.As a courtesy, the township is reminding residents that Navitat is currently listed as an agenda item.The board of supervisors meeting will be held on Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, located at 2010 State Route 903, Jim Thorpe.The zoning hearing board will hold a meeting on Thursday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company #1. This meeting will be formally advertised.Transfer station payments are now overdue and penalty fees have been applied. If you have a contract with a private licensed hauler, please send or deliver your contract to the municipal building.The municipal building office hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. until noon. The office reopens from 1-4 p.m.Starting Feb. 2, the municipal building will be open the first Saturday of the month from 9 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.If a property is being sold or refinanced in Penn Forest Township a "NO LIEN LETTER" must be obtained from the township.
