Domestic incident leads to charges

A domestic incident led to charges being filed against a Jim Thorpe man.

Borough police said on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, about 4:25 a.m. they were dispatched to 427 North St., for a domestic incident involving a male and female. While en route police were told the male was chasing the female near St. Joseph's Church, on North St.On scene police found the two and identified them as Anthony John Sandor, 53, and Denise Zellers, both of 427 North St., Apt. 2. Sandor said the two got into a argument and he chased her to get her back into the residence. Police noted Sandor had the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his facial area.Zellers told police the two got into an argument during which Sandor pushed her off a porch, which caused her to strike her head on the ground and cuts to her right leg and left elbow. Police did note Zellers had physical injuries consistent from what she had told them.Sandor was taken into custody and charged with misdemeanor two count of simple assault and summary charges of harassment, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness. It was learned that Sandor was on parole at the time and was placed in the county prison in Nesquehoning, for a parole violation.
