Around 9:15 a.m. today, firefighters were called to a garage fire at the intersection of Broad Street and Locust Street in Tuscarora, Schuylkill Township. Responding were fire companies from Tuscarora, Brockton, Tamaqua and others. A vehicle was also seen burning in the garage. Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to adjacent homes. No more information was available as of press time.
