Michael Midas, Lansford, has been named a company commander at the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Midas and he also was named to participate in the academy's "Operation Information" during the holiday season. Under this program, outstanding students are given permission to address high school and civic groups interested in the Naval Academy. He was an outstanding athlete at Lansford High.
