Tamaqua police have cited Megan Hill, 22, of 219 N. Lehigh St., Tamaqua, following an incident at the Family Dollar Store on Nov. 13.

Hill allegedly entered the store, at 137 N. Railroad St., at 6:37 p.m. and began placing items in her purse. She was observed by store personnel, who alerted police. When the clerk approached Hill, she fled into the parking lot where she was apprehended by police Sgt. Richard Weaver.The stolen items, valued at $72.57, were recovered and returned to the store.Hill was cited for retail theft.
