Lehighton Area Middle School Student Advisory Council will hold a basket raffle to support the Oceanport School District from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in the middle school foyer. Oceanport School District is located in Sea Bright, N.J., a community that was virtually destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.

LAMS has a history of supporting schools which are struggling due to storms. The school also adopted a school from Mississippi following the damage of Hurricane Katrina.
