November 12, 1983 Tamaqua uses a pair of special teams touchdowns to help gain an 18-6 win over rival Marian. Tom Tracy provides one of the scores with an 82-yard kickoff return. The other comes when John Kabana and Dave Myers combine to block a punt and Frank McCarroll picks up the loose ball and returns it 22 yards to the end zone. The Blue Raiders, coached by Tom Bonner, also receive a one-yard TD plunge from Howie Miller.
