The Delaware and Lehigh National Heritage Corridor is in need of help later this week to assess damage, clear trees and branches, and fill in holes or washouts along the D&L Trail following Hurricane Sandy.

They are focused on the section between East Penn Township (Bowmanstown Rt. 895) and south to Northampton. Volunteers with chain saws, shovels, rakes, and pickup trucks are also needed.Those who wish to assist in volunteer efforts may contact (610) 984-4753, (610) 838-8689, or
